Paddington Basin

Whilst looking through my images I found the following think they were taken in the  90s cant remember exactly.

It may surprise some people that the basin was tiled like a huge swimming pool.

The irony is that if it only held the same amount of water today no-one would be inconvenienced!

Many crazy planning decisions were taken during the 70's  80's and 90's.  Hopefully planners would value the waterside now.
