The plastic hood windows were looking rather dull, lightly scratched, and sad.

Some kind soul on here suggested rubbing them with toothpaste first then Brasso. Using a microfibre cloth.

Holy crap! What a difference!

Works on UV damaged car headligets as well. Best to do them at the first signs of going misty, much easier, to get them clear then.

Was that an electric toothbrush or a manual?  I think most dentists now recommend the former: one with a round head is reputed to be best.

Also try Pledge multi surface cleaner after first washing the windows to remove dirt.
