Denver to Boston via Kings Lyn and the Wash

Hello all I will be bringing my Dutch Barge round the coast from the thames to King's Lynn in May this year (weather permitting). Just wondering if anyone has the tidal Gt Ouse charted from King's Lynn to Denver Sluice. Happy with my preparations to get to King's Lynn any advice on the Tidal river part which I have heard can be tricky due to sand banks and bridge heights.

 

Any help / Advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would strongly advise you join the Spotted on the Wash group on Facebook. There's a  group of boaters who do this trip quite often and can advise on the sand banks and also the posts they have added to help mark them.  There is also a youtube channel with some videos. I will look for that later!

I think this should take you to the correct playlist on youtube. I should also have said that Dan the Denver lockkeeper is very helpful.

Hi all trip went exceptionally well no issues on the way round or heading into Denver the pilot who helped us round to King's Lynn is a You Tube fellow and made a lovely video of our journey, this can be seen here for those that are interested.

 

 

The boat is now prepped and we are ready to lock out again and continue north heading for the caladonian canal.
