New Islington Marina

Hi, curiosity really, who owns New Islington Marina and who sets mooring fees? 

Recently, Canal and River Trust sent notices to residents on London Moorings and I was curious as to who sets the prices for New Islington as they seem to be invisible

It was Manchester City Council that turfed the boats out last year so they could do repairs. So I assume they own it.

Are the boats back now? There was a lot on here at the time, but it's all gone very quiet since.

It used to be owned by Urban Splash but I believe has new management, not sure who, a phone call to Urban Splash might shed some light.

Boats are back, I have discovered Manchester City Council own it, managed by BWML, unsure what happens when CRT sell BWML

Not even sure the boats ever left, that put up a good protest. I will find out more, spent Saturday night there are now going up the Rochdale with two of the resident boats.

Surely BWML is as asset to CRT, that should  accrue revenue. Selling it off is like leasing off, or franchising, the more profitable canals ! Ye gods what a thought.
