Core plug leaking

Hi I have had a core plug fail on the cylinder head. I have replaced it but it still has a slight leak, can anyone recommend something I can seal it with.

Core plugs are domed prior to fitting. The plan is to fit them dome side out then carefully hammer them out flat once in position. This is to make them expand slightly in diameter and make a seal. Did you know this and do this ok?

Aha that should fix it then!!

Beat me to it, too busy rubbing the paintwork down. I was going to say that later BMCs use at least some Welch plugs (second photo).
