Aldi doing inflatable boats for £40

Tried mine yesterday. What a palaver.

Inflated it by the book. Chambers 1 through 4. Using the little plastic guide, strip, thing. Popped it into the water. Lovely. Definitely looks the part.

Got in it. Panic. Instant panic. It was nowhere NEAR firm enough. I'm trying to stand up in this soft dinghy (which thankfully I had been paranoid enough to tie to the mooring). It's trying to move away from the mooring (due to my frantic panic to get out) and I'm trying to keep ahold of the mooring. I'm trying to get up and out, but the sides of the dinghy are all soft and squishy. I'm trying desperately to get some part of my body onto the mooring.

Oh. Dear. God. A strong cup of coffee was required to stop my hands from shaking.

In short: DON'T take the guidelines as law. They're talking utter rubbish.

Maybe next weekend I'll pluck up the courage to try it again.  :D

You were done - I only paid £9.99 for mine.

(Such a bargain I went back and got another one)

Yep, you a right, it was £9.99 for ,I think the 44l one. Last on the shelf.

Will go well in my proper Avon dinghy (probably the best inflatable in the world).:)

I got two of the 55 litre duffel-bags.

Oh. That is a bargain then. They didn't have any of those left.

I already have a couple of the holdall type dry bags, which are excellent.

Thought i got a bargain 150W folding solar panel yesterday for 30 quid. Turns out the inbuilt regulator is buggered. Not such a bargain!
