Peter-Bullfinch
Anyone care to hazard a guess whereabouts we are?
Peter-Bullfinch
Okay....so no guesses so far. It's the Grand Canal in Ireland. This is about 40 miles to the west of Dublin. Tom Rolt went this way but about seventy years ago on his Irish boating travels. Nearby are a couple of old narrowboats still with their old BW licence plates. A new super tow path upgrade is being undertaken here.
zenataomm
It's near the Irish village of Major Road Crossing. An area that Rolt mentioned in his travels, it was best known for banning bicycles and placing a bike proof fence around the entire village. matty40s
Peter, these are lovely shots, and interesting, but your posts are 3 out of the first 4. Next time don't post in the Fishing, Cycling and Walking non payers forum and you may get more interest.
