flatplane8
1961 Lister JK4. We got this about 3 years ago, it was a standby generator at Dover docks apparently. It needed new big end bearings as the wrong ones had been fitted, along with new rings and a new (from ebay) injector pump. I discovered that the pump was from a left hand rotation engine, perhaps explaining why it had sat on a shelf for over 50 years. Luckily the CAV pumps can be run in either direction, I just had to swap cylinders 2&3 to get the correct firing order. This was the first attempt at starting it, I was pleasantly surprised it ran so readily. Youtube clip here
Athy
That's a mighty beast - and not a common one as far as I know. Are you going to put a boat round it, or is it too big?
flatplane8
If it goes well it will go into 'Misterton', our Lincoln Keel (currently powered by a JP3M).
