Hi readers. We've just bought a Highbridge Crusaider 32. We thoroughly enjoyed our first adventure yesterday afternoon.

Just googled the highbridge. That is a very nice looking boat.

you wont be going under any bridges on the cut with it though.

Why is that? The highbridge doesn't look that high?

Possibly confusing the Highbridge Crusader GRP narrowboat with a generic "high-bridge cruiser".

Think of the big gin palaces you see on the Thames with a flying bridge.

Understood.

Pete. Did you sell the Nauticus?

You'll be alright at this High Bridge though:

It is looking a bit nicer now. :-))

Just need to spray the metal.

Looking much better.

Just a suggestion (if you don't have a 'rudder position indicator') - get the rudder central then remove the 'bit of blue plastic stuff' of the wheel at 12 O'clock and replace with another colour, that way you only have to count the wheel revolutions to re-centre the rudder.

Alternatively - just wrap a bit of insulating tape around the relevant 'spoke'.

Cheers Alan for the suggestion.

The handle that is pointing up is slightly bigger than the others plus it has three rings to separate it from the others.

Possibly a different colour would be easier to see.

I am going to make another set of handles soon and will make it more obvious.

Cheers,

Paul.

Sorry - I didn't notice. Would be obviously more noticeable if you had it in your hand.
