Animals including the owl usualy kill for food and they don't cheat. Pathetic weedy humans call it " Sport " blowing some magnificent beast away with a bloomin great gun. The difference is significant.

What was truly amazing was that I got over my "WTF" moment and got a shot off before he got over his and legged it.

Not up here, ours were a bit of a sad story, then we didn't have any for a long time. They were reintroduced with help from Wales and Norway (or Sweden) and are doing better now.

Often see 4,5 or sometimes 6 all together these days, where as a few years back it was usually 1 or 2.

I think I'm really lucky cos I have 1 that some times flies over my garden. :)

There is that!   :giggles: Cost less in backing, mooring fees and licensing, Diesel and toilet chemicals or pump out. Plus I wont have to do all that pesky boating or those locks.  :D
