From Narrowboat world :

THE bottom gates on Stockwith Lock have failed meaning boaters will be stuck on the river—with no moorings.

wstockwithToday, Thursday, the hydraulics failed on the bottom gates of Stockwith Lock, leading to the Chesterfield Canal' meaning of course that boaters needing entry will be stuck on the tidal river, Keith Gudgin tells us.

No moorings

Yet strangely, there are no permanent moorings available, unless of course the bollard on the top of the high wall can be lassoed! So we are told that Canal & River Trust is working to get the problem fixed as soon as possible.

Edit : beaten to it by NC - but in my defence it had not come up on my 'new posts' notifications.
