Can't answer that Ray, but I know they were somewhere in the Coventry area a few days ago (possibly you've already identified the location from the photos?) as I remember seeing them go past us.

I can't remember exactly when, where or which direction they were headed but, as you know, we were in the area from the end of last week until yesterday morning. (We're at Rugby now, heading back to base.)

As far as I am aware , PHIL Underwood ( thanks Ray) is operating these this year as part of his floating musical and story shows.

They have come down from Oop North since April 13th and are headed to Cosgrove this weekend, came past Stowe Hill yesterday.

I think you mean Phil Underwood, doesn't Peter Underwood runs a less than complimentary canal "news" site?

Thank you Biscuits, shame if they have retired from boating, a lovely couple.

Yep.

As Matty says, they passed South through Weedon and beyond yesterday.

I didn't spot if it was Phil Underwood at  the tiller, but that's probably because there is no way I was expecting Phil Underwood to be at the tiller.

Yes they are.

Ken once kept a dozen of us fascinated for two days with an antique sqeezebox and 8 feet of cotton cord.

He can honestly claim to have once had Grace Davies as his warmup act!

Ok, ok - I'll be the one to ask...

What was he doing with 8 feet of cotton cord?  :)

Tying it in knots and leaving us in stitches!

Ken is a proud member of the International Guild of Knot Tiers, and a very entertaining speaker.

Keeping him well lubricated with beer reduced the accuracy of the knotwork but greatly increased the entertainment.
