Not sure if put this in right topic please feel free to move. Calder and hebble navigation outside horbury basin remain well to tow path side recent heavy rain boats are becoming stuck on silt

Certainly is quite a lump there-was a bit of surprise mid channel. Came to a rather abrupt halt on it a few days ago.

It was being dredged last Thursday (18th) when I came through.

I got held up at the top of Dewsbury double locks both paddles not working. One broken the other hasn't worked properly for a few years. Very helpful lockie assisted getting me through. He showed me that if you let the lock leak half full the off-side paddle will rise enough if you vigorously wind the hydraulic.
