Danboline bilge paint

I’m considering using danboline bilge paint on the roof and deck of our boat instead of raddle red. Has anyone used danboline in this way?

Just wallpaper it with £10 notes instead

More seriously, it's quite slippy as a finish so either add sand or pick something else.  I have used it in bilges, but wouldn't put it on anything you might ever walk on.

Why?

I find Craftmaster Raddle Red to be too brown. I have used Bird Brand red oxide gloss for the cabin roof, gunwales and similar areas.

Would be worrth asking Danboline if it is stable for long term ultraviolet exposure. Not something it usually sees in bilges, so may not be formulated with sunlight in mind.

Yes red on roof and decks. 2 issues shiny shows up all ripples and curls and peels if keying less than 100% but this is a prep issue not a paint issue. Dulls down quickly.

it chips without a good primer ive put it on bare steel and it chips easily.
