New covers - great job

Featured Posts

Just passing on a good experience..........

We have just had a full set of covers (NOT pram canopies) fitted to our boat - 8ft cratch, 3 pigeon boxes, 2 engine room doors one with a hatch and a steerers door and hatch - great job on time and on budget - J&H Trimmings based at Ashwood - Cliff Turner is your man, I can't praise them highly enough and we have used most of the middle England based companies over the last 30 years.

I'll try - just boring black covers really, it was the great service and price combo I was letting people know about - the whole lot for well under a grand in 6 weeks when others quoted that just for the 8ft cratch with a 4 month wait.

Very smart, they set the boat off.  Thank you!

Those mushroom vents and the vents at the rear are very shiny:)

Not shiny but lacquered - I hate the stuff as the shine is false but its a bugger to get off - they will be cleaned before the season is much older!

There must be someone on this forum who has the knowledge with regard to a chemical solution that could be used to assist in removing the lacquer without damaging the metal.

If you are bored you can always pop down and polish mine.  I wouldn’t even charge you :D

Mrsmelly is the man to speak to. He has views on polished brass and ought to be able to tell you exactly what to do with it.
