Vic Crutchley
Hi all. Keen to get some solar panels fitted on our narrowboat for this summer. Any recommendations and/or good deals for supplying and fitting? (The boat is near Rugby). Thanks, Vic
LadyG
I don't know about fiting but bimble site has lots of info: http://www.bimblesolar.com/offgrid Like many simple Q's there are no simple A's You can buy second hand solar panel [this site and others], which might be one option, however you probably need to use the solar power generated in the most efficient way. The cheapest options are often the least efficient. Edited January 21, 2018 by LadyG
Tony Brooks
I have used Solar Universe on a couple of occasions and would use them again but if you want fitting as well then the fitter may want to use their chosen suppliers. Solar Universe has panels that are narrower than many so may be better for a narrowboat but that is a personal thing.
Richard T
Try Matty40s of this parish - he regularly fits solar panels on boats and knows what he is talking about.
