Joe Bourke
Courtesy of Geoff Anson, of the Anson Engine Museum, a great resource for information on all makes of old engines.
Athy
This is of interest to me as it shows that our 2LW (105962) must have been built in the second half of 1955, whereas I had understood it to be a 1956 engine. It was exported to South Africa and fitted in a Hunslet locomotive, which of course would have taken some weeks or even months, so I guess that 1956 would be the year in which it first actually did anything for its living.
