Thanks Matty, I think this prob is peculiar to coastal marina GRP craft affected by seagull guano. Some awful staining.
NMEA
3m gelcoat restorer is pretty good stuff but once the Seagull crap has yellowed it not much apart from oxyallic acid brings the white back.
Alan de Enfield
Aldi 'Black Scuff' remover for Caravans is the absolute 'bees-knees'. Gets rid of fender black marks, shoe scuffs, sea-gull muck and pretty much anything else. If Aldi don't have any, try a local caravan / motor home shop. Mr Norman
I used "Grunt" for the first time recently and was quite impressed how it dealt with the really stubborn marks and stains. I will likely use this again. https://gruntboatcleaner.co.uk/

Naughty Cal
We wash ours with Elbow Grease, yes there is a product called that. It is polished with T Cut, then Autoglym Super Resin polish and then a couple of coats of good quality carnubua wax afterwards.
Momac
For staining that may remain after cleaning the surface of GRP try Bar Keepers Friend power cream. Apply and leave it on to do its work. As a GRP cleaner for black steaks and general cleaning I like to use Silky Cream Cleaner - which is very economical. I agree Elbow Grease is very good . Naughty Cal
We have found Elbow Grease is good at getting the bitumen from lock walls off the hull sides and out of the deck antislip surfaces.
