Galley work top.

I have a 2006 Liverpool boat. The galley worktop has started to crack in several places and I want to replace it. I'm sure I have seen the same worktop in other boats and was wondering if anyone recognises it? I was hoping to find one and just drop it in, rather than have one made for me.

Liverpool had them manufactured to their own requirements by a worktop and kitchen cabinet manufacturer.

It looks like Corian or a similar product. Make a template and take it to a kitchen fitter.

The company produced tops for our galley and bathroom, sinks moulded from same material so no seams or joints. they produced wall tiles as well to match. Very pleased with the outcome. they even left us with a small panel to use to repair any damage in the future.

I doubt it very much. It is a laminated worktop and there are a number of cracks in the surface radiating out from cut outs like the sink.

Well that is a possibility. Not that sharp in reality though and neither of us have hurt ourselves on it in the years we have had it!

If your existing work top is cracking it is insufficiently supported IMHO. Corian requires even more support than 38mm chipboard so do have a good look at extra support before you spend serious dosh on a solid surface product.

What thickness?  If only 12mm then it’ll move around unless well supported.

the ply is 3/4 inch.
