Quoisley Lock Gentleman

Hi All

On my 17th birthday I was away on the Llangollen and at Quoisley Lock this lovely gentleman was sat selling eggs and veg from his wheelbarrow (photo taken from an online article about pipesmoking). He was lovely and helpful as he had his own windlass. It somehow got mentioned that it was mine and my twins birthday and he wished us well and coughed before saying he didn't have too many left himself. Does anyone know if he is still around, id very much like to know

He was there a couple years ago, we bought some kindling off him and talked about chickens.

I understand he no longer goes there after some yobs gave him a hard time and stole off him a couple of years ago. Thats a real shame. Proper gent.

he wasnt there last year when i came through but he was there the year before 2015.

he did say he was having back and leg problems and found it difficult to get about.

That's a real shame, we looked for him a couple of weeks ago but he wasn't there. I wonder if he knows how many of us have fond memories of him? It would be lovely if someone knew how to contact him to let him know.

That's a nice photo, he's a real nice guy and great to chatter with, we'd buy stuff even if we didn't need it.

It's been a few years since we last seen him there and he was going on about his health then, I'm sure he drank in the willymoor and he likes the strong beers, so maybe that's the place to ask about him
