It would have been for real as there was a hut/shed near the lock on the "Greyhound"side the shed contained the order office & odds & ends oil ,  coils of rope, etc there was also a diesel tank with extra long hose that would reach to the outside of a breasted pair Can't remember when it stopped being used or when it disappeared 1963?possibly

Thanks Pete. These films were often put together from several bits of original filming and Betty and Mary certainly had Vela for quite some time. Often what are quoted as 'New Trainees' were old hands who happened to be available when the film crew turned up.
