Hello, I am wondering on the best adhesive to affix a rubber rubbing strake to steel, and for it to stay there!

Any guidance is much appreciated.

Thank you

Andreas

Rubber rubbing strakes rarely stay stuck on a heavy boat, a lightweight dinghy maybe. They need bolting through.

Hi

We had rubber rubbing strakes on the Nottingham Princess, they still do. If its pucker built for purpose stuff then it will be extremely thick and robust. Ours had a steel backing built into it and we bolted it through into threaded sections of the hull. We used to clout stuff quite heavily on occasion, well the other skippers did not me  and it never budged on the 100 ton boat. What rubbing strake do you intend using?
