Mooring in Huddersfield

Hi all , has anyone got any experience of moorings in Huddersfield , maybe for a couple of days including an overnight stay.

Aspley basin is nice and central, it's where the narrow and broad canals meet. Stayed there a couple of years ago.

The towpath side from just beyond the lift bridge to the main road bridge is all managed by Aspley Marina and has a 72 hour limit, £5 per day thereafter. Beyond the main road bridge, by the university, is the normal 14 day limit, but not much room there and is nowadays often full because of the limits mentioned.  There are rings at one or two places before the lift bridge, but I've never seen anyone moored there.
