What did the trick as I am still unable to make this work on an Android tablet, all I get are the Android cut and paste options when I highlight some text. Tried in desktop mode and non desktop mode but always the same.

On my one you have to highlight the text and then drag your finger over the text

It's inconsistent on my phone!  But what Rusty says above does work every time.
