Some nice shots

Glad you went to Geldeston Locks

very nice - reminded me of my last trip on the Broads about 30 years ago.

You can of course get to Norfolk and Suffolk from the main canal system - Little Ouse to Brandon forms the border for a distance.

But you would need to pick your boat up and carry it

We are going again this year towards the end of the year but on a hire boat instead which will be somewhat different.

We loved the pub at Geldeston. Unfortunately we only got to have a few pints due to the tide times. We wanted to stay longer but if we had we would have been stuck the wrong side of the bridge for the best part of the next day and would have effectively wasted a day. So we came back again. Great pub though.

Sorry for being a bit unclear, the point I was making was that the Fens will take you to Norfolk and Suffolk. Not to the Broads of course as there is some land in the way.

Not much if you are in a canoe I understand

Yes, here's a nice article that explains that the watershed between the Waveney and Little Ouse has moved over the last half a million years, with sections of these rivers flowing in the opposite direction to now etc!

The Brecks are well worth exploring, a very pleasant walk from Brandon.
