Docks on the Grand Junction Canal.

Hi everyone.

When I was a young lad I used to fish at various points along the Grand Junction between Cowley and Stockley. I remember there being lots of docks leading off the canal, e.g. Onslow Mills, Otter dock, Cooper's dock, etc. I have info on these from Faulkner's "Grand Junction Canal" but I was wondering if anyone has any old photos of these docks to enhance my memories, or maybe let me know of any publications containing further info.

Thank you.

Mark Pullinger when researching pictures for Narrow boat mag examined the remains of some of those docks. A surprising amount of evidence is still to be seen on the ground.

Use this NLS reference and look at the map then use the slider to reveal the satellite image from today.
