Hi I have a 6ltr Morco boiler and it seems to keep surging does anyone no why ?

Accumulator needs repressurising?

If you've turned the flow down to get hot water in cold weather, your pump is probably pulsing as the pressure keeps building up with the low flow. If you have an accumulator, check the pressure is not too high. If you don't have one, then fit one.

If the water pressure at the tap is surging it will be due to the accumulator losing pressure for sure. You need to re pressurize it.

How would one go about repressurising an accumulator? I ask as I fitted a new one to Nightwatch about nine years ago, perhaps more, and I can't remember ever having pressuring it from the start or even since. The system works fine, the pump goes off when you'd expect it.

Is it a case of 'if it works don't fix it'?

Just below the pump cut-in pressure. So for instance if the pump cut-in pressure is 12 psi you'd want 10 or 11 psi.
