Fair one. Although, TBH, the idea of sharing my bed with my dog doesn't appeal to me, so I'd be horrified at the idea of the OP's spaniel kicking in his bog door in!

Yeah, true, but he's only got to jump and extra couple of inches, so just modifying the back legs should be good for that. I reckon a couple of Shepherds Castors will fettle the front if his front legs aren't up to the job, but that will affect the steering so best avoided if possible.

He's a Springer - looks like a dog but they're different... and most deserving of smelly snuggles I'm sure!
