But one's can find enough good ones (well cared/repaired), nicer are older ones such as "930" with wooden sliding door; for instance, there is one advertised in Le Bon Coin at 28k€: 1986, 28HP Volvo P. (from someone who owns one: could be enough in the Rhône River, when weak flood/wind ), 5 bunks, Trumatic heater, cosy shower, aft' bridge-deck (above kitchen: nice place where to sit on evening). I made a J Dutchman's short canal cruise (trial, was for sale), windy condition (strong north wind build up)... boat became difficult to drive, very difficult when slowing down in the marina despite bowthruster... May be too high above water, round chines and not that much hull inside water (despite full ballasts the hull gave way when coming in). Penichette are same length but wider (3.3m versus 2.55), giving much more living place (water 400liters) and manageable gangway.

Oups 9.3m wide... a lot of living area!!! Was meaning Penichette are about same length (9.3m) [same as Jolly Dutchman] but wider [than JD] ! But you're right, width is... 3m ! (only 45cm wider, but good area in the kitchen and less rolling!) JD is told to be 2.7m wide, including rope, may be for trailering?
