Hmmm...... Could they have found anywhere further away from Manchester?

 

"will use a range of novel arts and humanities research methods to map and interpret the cultural heritage of selected secondary waterways as a means of supporting new initiatives and infrastructure investment"

 

Does this reflect that the minor waterways of the south east are now too overcrowded with "live aboard's" and that a new vacant area needs to be identified???

 

"working closely with the Canal and River Trust", they need to treble the salary to make that attractive.....

I've only just seen this post but also stumbled upon the job advert the other week and submitted an application myself. Would be interesting to know if there are any other boaters going for it...

I have not applied, but contacted them offering help for whoever gets the post as I have been researching northern and European canals for many years.
