Damage to canal in Leighton Buzzard?

I've just read a report on Streetlife that the Peach Homes builders in Leighton Buzzard have damaged the canal wall and it's causing the canal to drain into the building site. They have a plot of land backing on to the winding hole opposite the water point (town centre pound) on which they're building flats.

 

As there are lots of rented moorings, the Tesco visitor moorings, the only rubbish point/water point/Elsan for a few miles plus the Wyvern hire boat base on that pound, damage to the canal wall could have some repercussions there. I've reported it to CRT and suggested they inspect the damage.

Well done. Hope is doesn't escalate into a major concern. Some hire companies seem to be struggling at times.
