AMModels
JWM No.3 Elizabeth, interesting boat. looks BCN with those heavy rubbing strakes typical of BCN day boats. 10.35 an Elements butty, but looks to be a loaner from Worseys, maybe while they were docking the regular TSE boat. Interesting to see the very basic signage put on the black cabin side and the more ornate lettering on the hull to say its Worseys 52. Possibly working the Stourport light contract. hecla777
Worsey boat No.52. That would make it BCN 419. Regards Martin O'Keeffe
Laurence Hogg
The boat shown first in the clip is a "Stour Lifter", this is rare footage as virtually no photographs exist of these boats, one still remains lying just off Holly Bank but nowadays only the stem bar is evident in the winter. The other boat is a joey on hire, a practice many large yards engaged in, ie Thomas's and Yates in particular. A good find.
pete harrison
Worsey boat No.52. That would make it BCN 419. Regards Martin O'Keeffe It could be BCN 419 (cancelled 19 April 1933) or it could equally be BCN 865 (cancelled 02 July 1947) - both of which carried the fleet number 52 for WorseyLtd., and both had cabins
hecla777
So more likely 865 then Pete? Regards Martin
pete harrison
So more likely 865 then Pete? Regards Martin Without knowing the date of the filming it is difficult to say, but my gut feeling says BCN 865 although I can provide no evidence
