Biomagic cleaning toilet

You shouldn't use chlorinated products like bleach whatever holding tank treatment you use (or even if you use none) because it will damage any rubber seals in the system.

I use a different biological tank treatment (Odorloss) and when I clean the bowl I use Dometic toilet bowl cleaning fluid which looks like Jif (Cif) but works much better as it's a strong alkali. I never really considered it might affect the tank treatment. The reason it probably doesn't in my case might be because I don't do it very often!

Anyway, thanks for raising the issue. I'll be interested in what people say.

I can not see Biomagic having much effect on lime scale.

I use one of the Jabsco or Vetus cleaners for ordinary cleaning and dilute phosphoric acid for descaling. I used to use LeeScale for that, but 5 litres of 80% phosphoric costs on eBay about two quid more than one litre of LeeScale. Since it should be diluted about 8:1 to match the LeeScale it lasts an awful long time.
