Peak forest canal

Hi...Does anyone out there no the reason for the current stoppage on the Peak forest canal, just had a waring from CRT thats its currenty closed from lock 1 to lock 16....reason "repair"...no other info given at his time, or how long the "repair" will take......

 

Anyone out there can shed any more light on this for me.......

 

Planning on being up there early next week.....

Stoppage notice just says issue with lock twelve, under investigation.

Jungle drums (well Brian on Alton) say that there is also a problem on the Macc at Bollington. No stoppage notice as yet.

Well there is now - the Macc is closed at Bollington at least for the weekend. Is that why the levels were down last week?

Latest update says they are hoping to have Marple open Tuesday and Bollington open for the bank holiday weekend

Update on 23/05/2016:

We are pleased to announce the repair to lock 12 today has been successful. The canal in now open.
