mross
We are very happy at Yelvertoft. Laundrette is handy and everyone is very friendly. There's a lot of lock-free cruising adjacent and a lovely countryside to cruise in. Barby moorings is STILL unfinished although the club house will be finished this summer; they say this every year. Lysander
I think everyone has different requirements for a marina e.g. quietness, local pub, internet access etc. so it’s very hard to decide just on recommendations. When we wanted to move our boat to a new marina, we fixed on the general area where we would like to be and then made a list of five marinas we thought were worth considering. We then spent a day visiting them, looking at the surroundings and the facilities and talking to people already mooring there before deciding on the one we both (fortunately) liked the best. Old Son
Wasn't Gayton the one that would not let you stay overnight on your boat?
cuthound
When we had a share boat moored at Gayton, they didn't object to you spending the first or last night of your holiday on the boat. Might be different for long term moorhens though.
