chandleries on my route

Travelling from Stourport to Walsall and wondered if there are any chandleries along my route that are likely to have the flat fire rope?

Limekilns. Not visited ut bought from them. Very efficient.

For now I've gently pushed in the round rope and hopefully it'll be enough until I can get somewhere to get the ladder type

Limekilns don't do what I need and can't order in before I leave the town

Pennie, a lot of the DIY sheds do this now so when you're moored it might be worth a walk or cycle. B & Q especially.

I often find I cant get what I want from a real life shop, whether a chandlers, a B&Q type place, or even the supplier of the fire when I wanted some rope .

 

Never failed to find stuff online, with much more choice, competitively priced, and free delivery - not necessarily easy if you live on your boat, but wirth trying to find a way.

Your best bet is Limekiln. If you're going via the Delph, there's nothing else.

I'd always assumed that flat fire rope was just round stuff before it was pushed/pressed/worn flat.

I took out the core of the fire rope I could get from Limekilns to make it flat for now. When I'm somewhere I can order something offline I'll get what I need.

 

I was going to Walsall to get as close to the ikea as I can but it's still that bit too far to walk from the canal so I'm making a new plan
