Big-hearted charity fundraisers are being challenged to pull a ten-tonne narrowboat along the Chesterfield Canal – and you do not need to be a strongman to do it.
You and a team can pull a 70 foot long, hand-built, wooden narrowboat on the Chesterfield Canal and help raise cash for the vessel's upkeep and the charity of your choice.
The Friends of Dawn Rose – the name of the narrowboat being pulled – are organising the pull all the way from Shireoaks to West Stockwith and back.
Apologies if posted elsewhere.

I think "ten-ton" would be more appropriate to something as ancient as a canal.

I think "ten-ton" would be more appropriate to something as ancient as a British canal. Perhaps lots of people from mainland Europe will volunteer to give it a tug.
