jonesthenuke Posted March 14, 2016 Report Share Posted March 14, 2016 If its an LW engine then the oil pressure line from the filter back to the engine (on the non flywheel side of the filter) should have a tapping for a pressure gauge. My parts manual suggests this is 1/4 BSP and should be fitted with a 1/4 BSP male to female adaptor with a 0.020" hole (restrictor). This is from a manual circa 1971, so reasonably late on. You may well need an adaptor as senders tend to be 1/8 BSP or NPT. If you can post a picture of the filter and pipework the ollective knowledge on here can probably help more.
