EE mifi booster

I bought a signal booster off eBay, about £35-00, consists of an aerial and a interior mounted booster. I can now get a 3G signal inside the boat, where before there was none. You have to make sure you purchase one on the correct wavelength for your phone or WiFi unit.

EE Osprey 2 Mini

Then a normal aerial will not be for you!

They have no aerial sockets!

I use an old USB EE dongle with a long enough USB cable stuck through the window light and tied to a broom handle clipped to the roof!

It'll cost you. sad.png

You want something like this Amazon

Make sure it is 4g (LTE) and not a 3g one.

Then you will need one or two aerials Solwise

Again make sure it is 4g (LTE) compatible

Ensure you also get the correct connector. Aerial to Mi-Fi.

or just move the Osprey to a better location so that the boat does not block the signal.

Caution -

The E5330 doesn't have an aerial socket and (?) it's not 4G

IIRC it's the 5332 that has a TS9 socket.

There are cheap - a tenner - diamond shaped external antennae that 'do' 3 and 4G with two TS9 plugs on that work with the E5776 MiFi router on eBay.

Ive got one and 'it works for me'

Whether or not you can get a signal through a boat window depends on where you are moored. i.e. what the signal strength is - and it varies a lot - even within a given area.
