Has anyone used the new ASAP Marine website yet? http://www.asap-supplies.com/

I'm finding it a bit challenging at the moment, not only because it has changed from the one I used to use - that's OK, I'll learn. It's the size of the images of the parts that I am finding challenging

For example: http://www.asap-supplies.com/gauges/faria-digital-gauges-spares

I'm getting three images across the page, is that the same for other folk?

You try scrolling through pages of items looking for something!

Richard

To be honest I don't find it a problem, but I expect it's been optimised for mobile devices, that seems to be all the rage. Also on home wifi which is very fast, so pages of large photos open pretty much instantly.

I always prefer paper catandogs even on companies with fairly good sites,

(one exception is RS Components as when I had the full catalogue last time I had to adjust the ballast cool.png )

Normally I look it up in the paper catalogue so I know where to look on the web site for more detail.

10 items on the page and 3 items across, took about 10 sec to open.

I tried using it recently, and found it so incredibly slow, (on a very fast connection), that I gave up.

They are in rural Beccles, we are lucky to have internet at all, let alone fast.

Seems fine to me Richard. Three images across the page with category selection list to the LHS. Scrolls easily, other pages download instantly. I cannot see anything wrong with it. I am on a fast internet connection though which might affect things.

I too am on broadband.

It's obviously me then, three items across the screen at a resolution of 1080 makes the site rather silly and tiring to use. The images are far bigger than necessary in my opinion

A simple to use and easy to read website

BUT it is the slowest website I have used for a long, long time.

(Mobile BB about 3mbs)

I notice on a tablet, I get two images wide and a floating header bar. The speed is probably something to do with the page formatting

Oh dear, I just searched for Adenoids as I'm thinking of renewing mine, the last lot I put on were a proper waste, they just sort of melted.

Anyhoo after a couple of minutes of being shunted about between multi choice picture menus I finally got to the page that covers my hearts desire ....... and then a large pop-up obliterated my view. It was encouraging me to sign up for their newsletter and no matter how many time I tried to say no or close it I couldn't move away.

If your adenoids are rotting best you go see the ENT specialist if its your anodes then you still need to find out why. I feel I can say that as I cant spell.

I'm prepared to accept the navigation is new and takes a bit of time to learn. I didn't find Jabsco repair kits, I did find PRM 260 spares

Richard

I agree, seems to be optimised for mobile. A search for Jabsco repair kit on the site gives me a page with >300 hits (using Chrome browser on Linux). Pointless to send you the link if the search page doesn't render for you, but if you are after something specific then give me a more specific search and I'll link you to a product page. (No connection etc)

That's kind Peter, I found the live human on the end of the 'chat' service on their website to be helpful. They are going to get back to me
