Well - that's it. Been 'on-going' for the last few weeks but finally 'done the deed'.

 

Been to the bank, agreed exchange rate into Euros and sent it to Croatia,

Email confirmation money sent.

Insurance commences at 00:01 am Wednesday.

Ownership changed from Croatian registration to my name and SSR registration.

 

Need to leave it in Croatia until April as unable to get insurance for crossing the Bay-Of-Biscay between October and 1st April.

Will take about 3-4 weeks to sail back, should be an interesting trip.

 

Keep it in the UK for a year or two then off 'Blue Water' cruising.

 

Technical stuff :

 

Length : 38 foot

Beam : 23 foot

Engines : 2x Volvo 2030D ( 28 hp each)

Max speed (under sail) :10 knots

Max speed (under power) : 8.5 knots at 3200rpm

Pump-Out and Sea-Toilet

330 watt Solar panels

The benefit is we get to keep her on her existing mooring in the centre of Rijeka - handy for the restaurant.

You could have saved yourself a lot of bother and just welded two narrowboats together.

 

I was never very good at Maths but I reckon it would take 3x NBs to make it up to 23 feet.

My other boat ( Motor cruiser) is already 2x NBs at 14 feet wide.

Yes - and very nice she is to.

 

She let me have access to her 'bonded store' which is within E-bay's warehouse - its amazing what stuff she has accumulated, from boats to caravans to motorhomes to Zebra. She is a really nice person and does not deserve all this 'bad press'.

 

Unfortunately she couldn't offer 'free delivery' on this item as she was going on holiday and wouldn't have chance to get to the Post Office, Oh- and there was a small mistake in the listing of the Buy-It-Now price, she had missed a couple of 'noughts' off ( to the left of the decimal point), but please excuse her as she is 'foreign'

I for one love it, you must be a lot younger and fitter, but years ago, I Marvelled at the room inside on twin hulled Cats

Only thing is that then, moorings along the coast were double that a single hull.

 

But it's a beauty, really is Alan, you've earnt it, so enjoy it, if it was mine I be doing a lot of enjoying

Especially if I was moored where it it.

Surely the service the wine and food couldn't get any cheaper for where you are.

 

And if resteraunt is crowded, get then to wait on you boat.

 

Honestly drooled over your photos expanded and lengthened and when next on board, have one for us
