Interesting boat for sale

We were in Gloucester the other day and saw this for sale: http://commercial.apolloduck.co.uk/feature.phtml?id=374236

 

It seems to have a permanent C&RT mooring on the Gloucester end of the G&S.

 

No price given, but a similar Bristol Lightship is being offered at £295K, although probably a lot different inside.

 

Interestingly, it has no propulsion engine, which apparently was quite common in lightships. OK as long as your lines hold!

I note that the same broker offers a "versatile landing craft". perhaps she will find a buyer in the Mediterranean area.

I always think that the profile of these lightships are just like the shape formed when as children we used to make paper boats for floating on the river

Thanks Rachael I know they are red, I was making a comment that you would have to like red boats. As usual you tried to turn it into an argument. But as you asked I'd prefere it in a dazzle paint job.
