ROBDEN
What to do with used sloes. Oohh! Try this. Just decanted last year’s sloe gin. With the leftover sloes, remove as many stones as possible. Mash the flesh a bit. Melt some good dark chocolate then combine with the sloe flesh, spread out on a tray, mark off into squares and leave to cool…...if you can. Then EAT!!! Absolutely bloody delicious. Rob…. Phil.
I concur. No need for expensive chocolate liqueurs at Christmas. These are much better and more alcoholic.

No! no. Can't keep it that long, it might err, err, go off. That's it, it may go off so I have to eat it quick. Rob....
Mac of Cygnet
I'm just amazed you've managed to leave last year's sloe gin until now! I bottle mine before the end of the year, and there is still some left (just). Must try your recipe though. I tried a recipe for sloe cheese one year. It was horrible. I normally just throw the used sloes out - onto the garden one year, but then I noticed these little birds staggering about......
