What to do with used sloes.

 

Oohh! Try this.

 

Just decanted last year’s sloe gin.

 

With the leftover sloes, remove as many stones as possible.

Mash the flesh a bit.

 

Melt some good dark chocolate then combine with the sloe flesh, spread out on a tray,

mark off into squares and leave to cool…...if you can.

 

Then EAT!!!

 

Absolutely bloody delicious.

I'm just amazed you've managed to leave last year's sloe gin until now! I bottle mine before the end of the year, and there is still some left (just).

 

Must try your recipe though. I tried a recipe for sloe cheese one year. It was horrible. I normally just throw the used sloes out - onto the garden one year, but then I noticed these little birds staggering about......
