If the subsequent investigation into the sinking reveals that the cause was due to a lack of maintenance or negligence on behalf of the insured, (as opposed to a 3rd party), then the insurance probably wouldn't pay up anyhow.

In that case the insurer probably still wont pay out, because I bet said reef is on the chart for that area...........

Surely an entrepreneur could use it for submarine tours?

That sort of money their be plenty of scope to get it sorted.
