A man has been rescued after falling 10ft (3m) into a dry dock in Warwickshire.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was called to the Oxford Canal in Fenny Compton at 21:00 BST on Thursday.

"When the emergency services arrived they were faced with a 59-year-old man who was at the bottom of a dry dock, 10ft down, lying in about a foot of water," the service said.

The man, who had "nasty fractures" on both ankles, was taken to hospital.
