Salmon Wellington

[Naughty Cal]

This was simply salmon fillet and parsley sauce wrapped in light puff pastry and baked for 20 minutes at 220 degrees.

 

Served with Jersey Royal new potatoes and kale.

I think I was put off parsley by lumpy school mashed potato served with an ice cream scoop. Can't stand it to this day.

There's a statue of the Duke of Wellington on his horse in the City of London. Next time I'm up there I'm going to examine his Welly's for any signs of the remains of Salmon or Beef. I fear it'll only be cheese though.

never could understand why people spoil good fillet steak or salmon by cooking it wrapped in someone's smelly wellies.

 

and how do you make wellies flaky anyway?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

PS Aldi's salmon welly is lovely, just make sure you wrap the extremities in foil to stop them charring.
