jenevers
I've been reading the recent Lister post on bent co rods, possibly due to sticking valves. How do LWs fare in this field of undesirable conditions? Reading on t'internet seems to suggest it's mainly hot running engines that are susceptible. The recent thread was to do with bent valve push rods not bent con rods. Sticking valves are one possible cause. Any engine that's left stationary for very long periods in damp environment would be susceptible. Valves can rust in their seats or on the stems. This applies to all four stroke engines, not just old types. The best course of action is to run the engine regularly, say at least every month.
