I cheat. I'm sure I could not make better curry sauces than Mrs. Patak so I usually buy hers. Had her Saag Masala yesterday evening in fact.

Traditional. I once worked in an Indian restaurant and all of the staff food was cooked in the traditional way, I much preferred it to any of the stuff we served the customers.

Depends. If we have time a traditional curry. If in a rush or just wanting a quick meal we will use a curry paste.

i have been using carrots as a sauce base of late.roasted and then in to the slow cooker.

No. There are web sites and forums for BIR. Catering for what us Brits are used to eating after a few pints of beer on a Friday night.
