The smooth running of our forum is critical to the sites success and in order to secure our future I am looking to recruit a new member to the team to act as technical administration of the site. This crucial role holds the responsibility of keeping the site online and managing the sites server side operations.

Site Technical Administrator

Skills and capabilities:
- A good working knowledge of proprietary forum software or other similar web based software
- Have a vision for the forum's technical future
- Experience of working within a hosted environment, cPanel/WHM
- Be familiar with My SQL and PHP systems
- Have ongoing knowledge of current requirements for web and data security
- Able to work alongside the Site Owner
- Trustworthy

Duties:
- Resolve problems with the site, working with the hosting company and the software supplier
- Provide communication with users regarding current technical issues
- Schedule and oversee upgrades to site software
- Ensure that the site is regularly backed up
- Implement additions and improvements to the sites functionality
- Document and communicate work in plain English

The majority of the work can be carried out on a flexible basis, however candidates must be able to dedicate a reasonable amount time to the role and within reason, be available at short notice in the event of unexpected issues or downtime.
