swift1894
I've always been a subscriber to the "if it ain't broken don't fix it" school but, what is the butterfly bolt on the bottom of the Amal fuel pump for? Is it a sump drain that should be undone every so often?

swift1894
Undo the butterfly and swing the wire clamp out of the way then the bowl comes of completley Thanks. Can't afford to do things wrong. I wasn't sure if the butterfly was a tap like on the bottom of the water pump. Strange that the manual makes no mention of this necessary maintenance.
